The abundance of hotels in Santorini with private pool can quickly demoralise anyone starting to search for the perfect place.
Santorini is undoubtedly a magical place and if you visit with the right expectations it will gift you with an incredible experience. The volcanic origin of the island contributes to making it extremely photogenic but less suitable for beach life. This is probably also the reason why you will find an incredible number of hotels in Santorini with private pool to make up for this.
Below you will find a list of the top 24 hotels in Santorini with private pools. There are three different lists, one for hotels located in Oia, one for hotels in Imerovigli and Fira, and one for hotels in other villages on the island.
In my opinion the ideal is to stay in Oia, but in each block you’ll find the reason why to choose one area or another.

HOTELS IN SANTORINI WITH PRIVATE POOL: OIA
Almost half of the hotels I selected for this list are in Oia, that’s because many people stay in Santorini for only 2/3 nights and in this case my recommendation is to stay in Oia, ideally in one of these hotels with incredible views.
Stopping in Oia will allow you to appreciate the town in its splendour when the flocks of tourists have not yet arrived or have just left.
If you have already begun to look at the accommodations you will surely have noticed that prices for hotels with private pools in Santorini are exorbitant when compared to other Greek islands. However, one thing to keep in mind is that in many cases the price you will pay is not because the hotel is an incredible 5-star hotel, but for the location and the view. These reasons alone are worth the money spent (even if you could be reflecting if would be cheaper to budget for a trip to the Maldives)! Here are the top hotels in Oia, Santorini, with private pool.
NOTE: Oia doesn’t seem to offer good options for family with young kids that want to enjoy the caldera views and have a private swimming pool. There are many properties with a shared pool that could be an option, but to keep the focus on the private pools in Oia list you will also find 2 private villas that offer a private pool. I tend to prefer to stay in hotels with young kids, I like to know that someone is always available if needed, but with the scarcity of options I added those 2 beautiful villas that could work very well for a family from 4 to 9 people.
- Who is Oia best for? Everybody! Although Oia seems to target mainly honeymoon couples don’t be discouraged, if you can afford the cost then Oia is the best place for couples, families, and solo travellers!

This is a stunning hotel carved into the caldera side. Beautifully built with contemporary interior touches that make it look sleek but perfectly integrated into the surroundings.
Here luxury takes the shape of the details and quality of the materials used more than in abundance. The hotel is developed over six levels, and easily accessible from Oia main street. Each room has a heated plunge or infinity pool with astonishing views over the caldera.

2. Andronis boutique hotel
Andronis boutique hotel is an established destination in Santorini and despite being on the caldera it is really generous in size. It offers all the services you would expect from an hotel where you pay a premium price.
Views are stunning, they have a lovely spa and a famous restaurant on site. The common infinity pool is heated and the rooms are stylish with personality, they have modern furniture pieces that keep some traditional elements and include some shabby chic to make them really warm.

3. Elite luxury suites
The Elite luxury suite hotel has managed to transform the traditional cave houses into a modern retreat. Located at the end of the footpath guarantees a comfortable connection with Oia but at the same time the possibility of some privacy.
The hotel is very charming and with only 5 suites you will feel in an exclusive environment. The suites are furnished in a functional, modern and welcoming way. All offer a living area, bed, and kitchen. The views are incredible and can be enjoyed from the private heated pools.

4. Santorini Secret suites
This hotel is perhaps one of the most expensive on this Santorini hotel with private pool list, but if you can afford it you will not be disappointed, it is a little paradise in Oia.
The location is enviable on the slopes of the caldera, ensuring breathtaking views to enjoy in private, but just a step out of the main entrance and you will find yourself in the centre of Oia with everything at your fingertips.
The suites are developed on various levels and offer swimming pools or hot tubs to relax in. There is also a popular restaurant, spa, and communal swimming pool. The private outdoor swimming pools are heated which makes this hotel perfect even in the cooler months when Santorini is at its best.

5. La Perla villas and suites
Another small hotel to choose for its incredible location.
All rooms offer a private pool / plunge pool or hot tub, but there is also a shared pool with a terrace and a small bar if you feel like socialising. Located low enough from the pedestrian path to ensure more privacy, but then also needs a small hike to reunite with society. A little outdated in same details for the price they ask for. Nice little hotel, recently refurbished. Canaves Oia suites are all predominantly white and with minimal but luxurious furnishings. Most of them have a private pool or heated plunge pool.
The view from the rooms is absolutely breathtaking as well as from the common pool which is well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. This hotel is part of the same group as the Canaves Oia suites. Although less grand, it shares with the previous one a contemporary architecture with classy and refined interiors.
The rooms are spacious and of various types with incredible views of the caldera and most offer small private heated plunge pools on furnished verandas for relaxing. There is also a gorgeous common infinity pool and a delightful restaurant. A quaint hotel that offers shelter from the noisy tourism of Oia’s main street, but is still within walking distance. 8. Andronis Arcadia
This is the last hotel opened by the group that also manages the other Andronis hotels and perhaps the most prominent. It is not on the slopes of the caldera but the view of the sunset is still impressive, and anyway in 5 minutes you are in the centre of Oia.
The construction does not have the constraints of Santorini luxury hotels with private pool perched along the slopes, the accesses are therefore more comfortable and the spaces wider. The architecture is expressed in its most contemporary form, creating visually generous spaces enriched by careful attention to detail and the materials used.
There are a variety of rooms / villas that accommodate from 2 to 12 people, all with private heated pool and incredibly well-finished in detail. The extra plus? They do not impose age restrictions, if you have small children you will not only be welcome, but you will even find activities specifically designed for the family such as cooking classes or spa treatments to do together with parents and children! 9. Ducato di Oia
Ducato di Oia has a prime location directly on the Caldera in the centre of Oia. It embraces the island architecture of the cave house with traditional furnishings.
The layout is quite simple, there is no spa or restaurant, but many suites offer plunge pools with incredible views. The lower terraces face the walkway, which could be annoying for privacy. If you are not looking for all the services of large hotels, this hotel could be a good solution in the low season when prices drop a lot and you can find a room with a private pool at a great price. 10. Old Castle Oia
Directly in the heart of the old town, this hotel with only 11 rooms offers an intimate and private feeling. Located in the exact spot where hundreds of people queue to see the sunset, you can admire it directly from your room or from the pool.
The rooms are modern, but with inviting warm furnishings, perhaps some may find them a little too basic, but they are nevertheless treated in detail. The hotel, which differs from the others in the use of hearty tones, offers an infinity pool, but there is no restaurant inside … if you want a snack in your room, you will still have to go out!

It seems that this hotel group has really understood what the clientele of Santorini are looking for. An exclusive place to take refuge from the crowds and to be pampered even if you are not on honeymoon but on vacation with children. The location is not on the caldera (only drawback) but has much more space available and better facilities such as the common infinity pool and the bar / restaurant. Everything is taken care of in the extreme details, with modern and refined furnishings and recently the structure has also inaugurated a Spa.
It is true that from the hotel you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset, but unfortunately you do not see the caldera and even if Oia is only 10 minutes away the uphill road can be deterring, however the hotel offers a comfortable Shuttle Service. CHECK HERE AVAILABILITY
Bonus option 1. Pina Caldera residence
Pina Caldera is a traditional cave house that has been renovated and equipped with modern comforts including a small but well equipped kitchen which is very practical when on the go with children. Bonus option 2. Olvos Luxury Suites
This small property has opened for the 2021 season, and is therefore brand new. The structure is very beautiful with attention to detail and a large and panoramic infinity pool. It is not really a hotel, but more a villa divided into 3 different suites which, however, can be booked entirely to host a large family of up to 9 guests including children of all ages. HOTELS IN SANTORINI WITH PRIVATE POOL: IMEROVIGLI AND FIRA
Imerovigli offers a charm similar to that of Oia but at half the price (or anyway a bit less…), it could therefore be the right compromise to spoil you with a hotel with a private pool without breaking the bank. Although remember that Imerovigli is much smaller and quieter than Oia and some facilities close in winter.
Fira is the opposite of Imerovigli, larger and more chaotic, always full of tourists, but much cheaper than Oia. In Fira it is even easier to park not too far from your hotel, while in Oia in some cases you will have to walk for more than 10 minutes.
Fira and Imerovigli also offer more solutions for families with small children, who seem to find no space in Oia.
- Who are Imerovigli and Fira best for? Couples may prefer Imerovigli as it is much quieter, while families and solo travellers will probably like the vibe in Fira.

12. The Valiscos
A small, homely but elegant hotel that focuses on the location and the quality of the service offered to guests. The minimal suites with mid-century touches, all show great attention to detail. Two suites have a beautiful private swimming pool, and there is also a heated shared swimming pool with incredible caldera views.
There is no restaurant, but the hotel has a chef available to organise private dinners on the terrace of your suite. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Imerovigli and for the more athletic you can also reach Fira in 25 minutes on foot. CHECK HERE AVAILABILITY
13. Andronis Concept Wellness resort
Newly built hotel 8-10 minutes walk from Imerovigli. Andronis Concept is large enough by caldera hotel standards, and offers a variety of suites and villas that can accommodate up to 8 guests including children of all ages.
As in the other hotels of the Andronis group, the attention to detail reaches the highest levels, the suites and villas are modern, but integrate pieces of local art that make them warm and welcoming. Restaurant, communal pool, spa, and activities are also perfect for families as well as superb views and impeccable service which make it one of the best luxury hotels in Santorini with private pools , if not the cheapest, choice. 14. Tholos resort
This property has been completely renovated (however calling it a resort seems inappropriate) in an extremely original way. The 8 suites are all different from each other, but all are deeply inspired by local art. Some of the suites have sinuous shapes that extend into the slopes of the caldera and unique decorations perfectly integrated.
This small boutique hotel ticks almost all boxes: it is one of the few hotels on the caldera that accepts children of all ages, there is also a small communal swimming pool and an excellent restaurant, the only drawback is the suites have a Jacuzzi or hot tub instead of plunge pools or private pools. 15. Dreams luxury suite
This small hotel of only 4 suites has a more traditional feel than others on the list, but the spaces are nevertheless generous and with attention to detail. All suites have a pleasant terrace with private swimming pool or hot tub. This small hotel has no common areas, but the location is very quiet and restful. 16. White Pearl Cavalieri
Recently inaugurated in Imerovigli, the White Pearl Cavalieri is one of the latest additions to the Santorini hotels with private pools list. Located in the quietest part, it guarantees privacy and a stay with VIP treatment.

17. Grace hotel
This hotel is part of a small international chain, and is large enough to offer a variety of room types and suites to choose from. Most rooms offer heated outdoor plunge pools with beautiful views and furnished terraces for relaxing. The suites have various layouts so you can choose whether to also have an indoor living area, an indoor plunge pool or even an hammam steam bath. To top it all off, there is a large common infinity pool, restaurant, and spa.

18. Sophia suites
A small hotel with many suites of different levels, but without common spaces or restaurants. It offers good value for money, but you have to choose your suite carefully. Most of the suites have a private plunge pool but some share the terrace with other rooms and have no privacy. Others offer more private spaces.

19. Anteliz suites
This small boutique hotel has 12 suites and is managed by the family who owned the villa that was originally located here. The completely renovated villa gave rise to this small hotel that has expanded over the years.
Strategically located 10 minutes walk from Fira, it guarantees the convenience of easily reaching bars, restaurants, and shops, but at the same time a bit of tranquility.
Not all rooms have a swimming pool and unfortunately some are next to the pedestrian walkway leading to Fira which compromises privacy, however it provides excellent value for money. CHECK HERE AVAILABILITY .
20. Adamant suites
Beautifully designed, peaceful suites with amazing sea and caldera views. A small hotel with 9 rooms including three with a delightful plunge pool with stunning views. The generous size and location, central but secluded, make it an excellent base for exploring Fira and the rest of the island.
There is also a shared swimming pool in the directly connected sister hotel. Like many others, Adamant suites is spread over various levels so get ready for a daily exercise by going up and down the stairs. CHECK HERE AVAILABILITY .
HOTELS IN SANTORINI WITH PRIVATE POOL: PYRGO AND KAMARI
The last group of hotels in Santorini with private pools are located in Pyrgos and Kamari. On the island there are other places to consider of course, but the quantity and quality of the hotels starts to decrease. If you decide to spend more than 3 or 4 days in Santorini then it may be worth considering splitting your stay between one of the aforementioned caldera hotels and one in Pyrgos or Kamari.
If you like the traditional life of Greece, simplicity, and interaction with the locals, then you could try spending a few days in Pyrgos. Pyrgos is less touristic than Oia and Fira, and the village is centrally located. If you rent a car or moped you will have no difficulty in reaching all the attractions of Santorini. By public transport remember that you will first have to go to Fira and change buses.
Although I do not feel the need to suggest you choose an accommodation on the beaches of Santorini, I cannot deny that if you want then here too you can now find a luxury hotel where your stay will take a turn towards total relaxation. After a few days of exploring the island, a couple of days at this new hotel from the Radisson group will help you relax and forget about the world outside.
- Who are Pyrgos and Kamari best for? Pyrgos is a good option for people that prefer to disconnect and are not looking to be close to the more lively areas. Not really practical for families moving with public transport or solo travellers. I recommend to choose Kamari only if you are planning to spend enough time in Santorini to be able to split your time between the caldera and on the beach. Not a romantic set up for couples.

This is an incredible retreat where you enter to close the world outside, enjoy the views, and be pampered. Located in the hills among the vineyards just outside Pyrgos (still a 10 minute walk from the centre) this hotel guarantees privacy and relaxation. The rooms are spacious and furnished in a sober and functional way. Thanks to the location and availability of space, the private heated pools are definitely larger than the average you can find in Oia, Fira or Imerovigli. 22. Nova Luxury Suites – PYRGOS
This may be the cheapest hotel in Santorini with infinity pool you will find. It is a small complex of 6 suites in all, plus a villa. Three of the suites offer private heated swimming pools. The suites have basic but functional furnishings and also include a small kitchenette. Maybe a little too basic in style but they offer pleasant views ranging from the village of Pyrgos to the sea. 23. Apikia Santorini– PYRGOS
Apikia is a complex of private villas in Santorini with pool on the edge of Pyrgos. If you are not interested in hotel services such as swimming pools or common areas then in this place you may find excellent prices even in high season. Most villas offer small private pools with views that sweep down to the sea. The villas are spacious with modern and elegant furnishings. 24. Radisson Blu Zaffron resort – KAMARI
This hotel is finally the right alternative amidst the ton of low cost options found in Kamari. One of the best hotels in Santorini. Opened in July 2021, it finally ensures a modern and well-kept refuge for those looking for a bit of peace and tranquility in a classy environment with a lovely nudge to the island architecture. The rooms available with a private pool are of various types, but the duplex suite with terrace and plunge pool is certainly the most spectacular.
Not only are the rooms extremely well looked after, but also the common areas. The entrance would not look bad in an Asian resort and from the entrance you can immediately see the two huge central swimming pools. A small fitness center, pool bar, and a delightful Italian restaurant complete the offer. We have personally stayed at this hotel and found the service to be impeccable.
